Asian Cuisine Chef (Private Household, 15–20 hrs), Stewartstown

The role

A private household near Stewartstown, County Tyrone, is looking for a chef who cooks Japanese and wider Asian home-style food, employed and paid weekly by Zolt Staffing. The work is cook-and-leave: three or four visits a week of around five hours each, 15 to 20 hours in total, on days agreed around you. Each visit covers preparing and cooking meals for the family for the next few days, labelling and storing them, and leaving the kitchen clean. Menus are agreed with the family in advance and all food is served fully cooked; no raw fish or sashimi. The rate is confirmed in writing before the first visit. A kitchen visit with the family is arranged before you start, and the equipment that travels with you is supplied by Zolt. The location is rural, so your own transport is needed. Start as soon as right-to-work checks and references are complete.

What you need

• Confident with Japanese and wider Asian home cooking: rice and noodle dishes, broths, stir-fries, teriyaki, katsu, curries
• Experience in a professional kitchen or a private household
• Food safety Level 2, or willing to complete it before starting
• Own transport
• Right to work in the UK
