Booking requests

A request sent through this website is a request, not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only when Zolt Staffing sends written confirmation naming the chef, the dates and times, and the hourly rate. Until then neither side is committed.

Minimum booking

Every temporary booking is for a minimum of six hours per chef, per shift. A shift that finishes early is charged at the greater of the hours worked and six hours, unless the written confirmation for that booking states otherwise.

Rates and invoicing

Rates are quoted per hour, exclusive of VAT where applicable, and confirmed in writing before the shift. Hours are signed off by the venue at the end of each shift and invoiced weekly. Payment terms are stated on the invoice.

Changes and cancellations

The notice required to cancel or change a confirmed shift, and any charge that applies, is set out in the written booking confirmation for that booking.

Chefs supplied by Zolt

Chefs on temporary assignments are employed by Zolt Staffing and work under the venue’s reasonable direction and the venue’s food safety and health and safety procedures while on site. Zolt Staffing is responsible for the chef’s pay and employment paperwork; the venue is responsible for providing a safe place of work. Zolt Staffing acts as an employment business for temporary supply.

Permanent placements

Placement fees, replacement periods and payment terms for permanent recruitment are agreed in writing before any candidate is introduced. Zolt Staffing acts as an employment agency for permanent placements. Engaging a chef introduced by Zolt, directly or through another agency, within twelve months of introduction incurs the agreed placement fee.

Private household services

Zolt Staffing provides the chef’s time and the equipment that travels with the chef. Any purchase of food or produce is arranged directly between the household and the chef and is not part of Zolt Staffing’s service.

Roles advertised on this site are for work through Zolt Staffing as an employment business or agency. Registering or applying does not guarantee work; shifts are offered subject to availability, right-to-work checks and references.
