Event and festival chefs, from one pair of hands to a full brigade
Weddings, banquets, corporate dinners, race days, pop-ups and festivals. Chefs who have cooked for volume and know what a 400-cover plated service needs.
Event kitchens are a different discipline
Volume, timing and improvisation matter more than a signature dish. We supply chefs who have worked event kitchens before, and for larger jobs a lead chef who runs the brigade so your event manager has one person to talk to.
What we supply
Single chefs to reinforce your own team, full brigades for banqueting and outside catering, breakfast and canteen teams for multi-day festivals and sporting events, and front-of-house or bar staff by arrangement alongside the kitchen team.
Planning an event booking
Tell us the date, the numbers, the menu style and the kitchen you will be working from, including temporary kitchens and marquees. We size the team, confirm names and rates in writing, and brief the chefs on the running order before the day.
How it works

We confirm the chef
You get the chef’s name, the hourly rate and written confirmation before anyone is sent.
The chef works to a brief
Every shift runs to a task list your head chef or manager signs off at the end.
One weekly invoice
Chefs are employed and paid by Zolt. You receive a single invoice for signed-off hours.
Questions venues ask us
How far ahead should we book event chefs?
Two to four weeks for a full brigade; single chefs can often be arranged within days. Peak dates in summer and December book earliest.
Do you supply chefs for multi-day festivals?
Yes, including accommodation arrangements for chefs working away from home for the duration.
Can you provide a lead chef for the day?
Yes. For any brigade of four or more we recommend a lead chef who runs the kitchen and reports to your event manager.
Need a chef this week?
Send the shift details or speak to a chef on the 24/7 booking line.
