About the Role
ZOLT Staffing is recruiting experienced Agency Sous Chefs to work across hotels, restaurants, pubs, care settings and catering businesses throughout Northern Ireland.
We provide temporary chef, relief chef and agency chef opportunities for experienced Sous Chefs looking for flexible work and for hospitality businesses requiring reliable kitchen cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service.
- Prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Assist with menu preparation and kitchen organisation.
- Manage your section and ensure service runs efficiently.
- Follow HACCP, food safety and health and safety procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste.
- Train and support junior chefs and kitchen staff.
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Sous Chef in a professional kitchen.
- Strong cooking and kitchen management skills.
- Experience supervising and supporting a kitchen team.
- Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services.
- Reliable, professional and flexible approach.
- Ability to work across different hospitality environments.
Locations
Agency Sous Chef opportunities may be available across Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Coleraine, Portrush, Portstewart, Ballycastle, Antrim, Lisburn, Bangor, Newry, Enniskillen and other locations throughout Northern Ireland.
